Hinton has a serious lack of breakfast places, so from that perspective I'm glad greentree exists. But I can't call it a good experience. First of all, they refuse to modify anything. All we asked was to replace the canadian bacon on the eggs benedict with a tomato, and that could not be done because they pre-prep the benedicts. What? Yuck. Then they screw up the order: I asked for swiss cheese and they gave me cheddar, I asked for soft poached eggs and they make them hard boiled. And no chance to complain, because nobody comes back to ask if everything is ok. Coffee is drinkable.
I had a really nice meal here. I ordered the Veal Schnitzel and it was very tasty. The gravy served with it in a small bowl was too salty for my taste and was probably from a mix. For dessert, I ordered the warm bread pudding, which was also great. I asked if they had tea and the waitress rattled of these kinds, one being green tea. I cannot drink black tea, but wanted cold tea (green tea is usually served hot) do I asked for the green tea and a glass of ice. After it has sat in the hot water for a while, I added a ton of sugar and poured it over the ice, making cold green tea. The waitress was very helpful without being intrusive, offering helpful suggestions. Really nice.
Great Breakfast.
Very incompetent waitress.
More expensive than the Fairmont for Breakfast!
Our whole group has never had better service than at Greentree. Our eggs benedicts came quickly, bottomless coffee with the urn left at the table and to go cups for the road. You could stay and linger but if you're in a rush, we were in and out in 20 minutes, everything was quick and friendly.
The service was really good the food wasn't too bad either
Tasty with GF options
Service was great, but the food was okay
Do not go here if gluten free. Asked for gluten free was served regular wheat pasta and wheat bread.
Great place for breakfast! Booths for privacy or a quiet read over eggs. The atmosphere is really nice and very relaxed. The pancakes are some of the best. A highlight on the menu is 'Breakfast Poutine' which has hash browns buried in cheese, bacon, chicken and hollandaise sauce. Great coffee left in an urn on your table for your convenience.
Breakfast is awful and so is their menu selction. Still giving 2 star as service was good and place is cleanl
Service is good. Food is not, unless you consider the following proposition acceptable- butter chicken made with old, dry and intact chicken wings. It was largely inedible. Staff was kind enough to reduce the price from 22$ by half.
-30c outside, enjoyed the comfortable lounge area, meal was great, the apple crisp was fantastic for dessert;)
Worst pizza ever .... cardboard crust and bottom of the barrel ingredients .
We ordered the special and weren't sure what to expect. The omelette was definitely one of the better breakfasts we had on this two week vacation. The two waitresses were very friendly and funny
Best restaurant in town. Friendly staff and great steak :)
great menu, great food, great service. I would definitely recommend this place. Always find myself coming back here
Enjoyed a great BBQ bacon cheese burger in the lounge!
Good food, great service.
Thank you
Really good food for breakfast, large portions. The coffee is comparable to Starbucks and they leave the carafe full on the table so you don't have to wait for refill. Friendly service. One star lost for being overpriced.
As an explorer, here's my spin... did not have eggs Benedict on the menu, but the server did not hesitate to say they can make it. Awesome, will be back. Breakfast was great.
Mediocre experience. Unhappy with the eggs Benedict special. Eggs were cooked to order, that was fine. Hollandaise sauce not quite right, don't know how to describe it other than flavor profile was off, not savory enough. Ham was especially weird tasting, almost as if it was close to it's expiration date. The English muffin was NOT toasted! Who eats untoasted English muffins? You might as well take a handful of baking flour and shove it in your mouth! That's what it is like to eat an English muffin without toasting it. AND BUTTER THE DAMN THING! Service was ok, they could've been more attentive. They didn't even ask how it was. I would've told them then instead of writing this. Did not finish my food.
Great food great service fast service and again the people are great
Service was pleasant, and quick. Knives were a bit dull, and difficult to cut. Eggs Benedict was tasty, though the hashbrowns were dry. Overall a good place for breakfast.
Order typical late breakfast for dinner. Nothing extraordinary with the food except for the wonderful service.
Oh well it's a restuarante .
Went there only once. It was ok, food was a little over cooked. Service was slow considering it was not that busy. There were two of us and probably about 8-10 other individuals in the restaurant. Will not be our first choice to go eat at again.
Excellent Service
Best service staff.
I went there with a friend for lunch, we had cheese burger and roasted chicken, food was delicious, I really like their fries, our server was friendly
Nice clean place, fast service, friendly staff and not busy. All is good except the steak was chewy.
Had our staff Christmas party here. The chef,Adil, cooked a beautiful 5 course morrocan meal for us all. It was excellent! Will definitely be going back often!
